I’m in love. Yeah sure I love my husband and kids, but I am also in a different kind of love lately.  You know the kind of love only another DIY home decor aficionado can relate to.  See, I have a brand new kitchen faucet, but it’s just any type of faucet..it’s a Moen Brantford Motion Sense Faucet from National Builder Supply.  Now you get it, right?

I’ve been updating my kitchen/dining room for EVER.  Seriously this blog has a zillion posts about new paint, signs, plate hangers, new rug, repurposed stuff, thrift store finds and more.  All are small changes that can make a big impact in the overall look of the kitchen.  I think topping it off with this beautiful faucet is the best way to finally cross the kitchen off.my.list!

Not only is this faucet absolutely gorgeous, but its features are amazing.  The Moen Brantford Motion Sense offers a hands-free convenience so I can simply wave my hand over it and turn it on or off.  No more having to reach my elbow over the sink to flip the lever.

Check out my feeble attempt at a demonstration in the video below.  You get the idea right? It’s fabulous! Check it:

This really comes in handy when I’m working with poultry and would rather not spread the possibility of salmonella around my kitchen, know what I mean?

It’s also great for grubby little hands.  You know the little hands that no matter how many times you ask them to wash up in the bathroom, will sneak into the kitchen to clean up after baseball practice, or digging for worms in the yard?  Yeah those hands.  Ahem.

I chose the oil rubbed bronze finish, which matches my new bathroom faucets, and is overall so striking!

When you consider the old faucet, this is by far a huge improvement. There was nothing necessarily bad about it, but in retrospect, it was just bo—ring!

Of course the old faucet didn’t have the touchless function.  See,now that I have it, I can never go back to a traditional faucet lever.  Call me spoiled, and I may agree.  The truth is the Moen Motionsense faucet rules!

The Moen is easy to put together, and comes with everything you need for installation. My bro in-law Matt installed this quickly and painlessly–what a guy!  {Thanks Matt!)

A perfect match with the rest of your kitchen design, nice pick!
And I have to say, nothing beats touchless. Once you have it you’ll never want to go back.
