Recycling in the New Year {plus a Repreve GIVEAWAY}

Thanks to Repreve for sponsoring this post!

Happy New Year my friends!  How’s your 2014 going so far?  I’m still planning out my resolutions!  First thing I’m doing is making it a point to cook not just healthy meals, but low calorie too.  {Check out 25+ Recipes for a New Year, and a Healthy New You}.  Another resolution I want to get the family involved in is recycling more.  We are horrible at this, but we have to try, and try we will!  Recycling goes beyond separating plastics and glass in your trash bins, but with just taking that simple step, you can help the environment in so many ways!  Did you know that there are major clothing brands out there that are making clothes out of YOUR recyclables?

Did you know that your household recyclables can be used to make clothing and so much more? Enter to win this cool and comfy #beanie made with #Repreve recycled fibers! #recycling #turnitgreen

Have you heard of Repreve?  Repreve is the eco-friendly ingredient that’s showing up in a lot of products lately—because it contains recycled materials, including plastic bottles we all recycle. Repreve is a recycled fiber that is helping to create a reprieve for the planet. Because Repreve contains recycled materials, including plastic bottles, it helps conserve precious natural resources. Repreve uses less petroleum and emits fewer greenhouse gases. They are careful to ensure that Repreve is made with integrity, so if you’re concerned about our world, you may want to know that Repreve helps lighten our impact on the planet!

Major clothing brands work with Repreve; Volcom, Life Khaki, Patagonia, The North Face, Beija-Flor jeans, and many more.   Other huge companies include Ford,  Kohlr Baby products, Cintas, and the list goes on! For a full list check out their products page, you’d be surprised all that can be made with recycled items!
