Best of 2012!

2012 was a great one for me in many ways.  My family and I settled in to our new home, I started a new job, my obsession for decorating and DIY took the shape of this blog back in March, and I’ve made amazing new friends because of it.  Not to mention my family is healthy and happy, and above all we have Jesus.  What more can a girl ask for?

I took a look at my first few posts recently, and boy, has this blog come a long way!  I could tell that I hadn’t yet found my ‘voice’ as a blogger, nor as a photographer (still growing in that department).

Overall, I was learning this ‘blogging’ thing as I went, and it shows!  That’s all a part of learning and developing your skills as a blogger, and little by little, thanks to so many wonderful ‘mentors’, and to you my readers, I think I’m getting there.  Slowly, but surely!

Take a look at the Top Ten posts of 2012 (actually of ‘all time’).  You may remember some of them, but some may be new to you!  You’ll see what I mean about growing as a blogger, and may even have some encouraging suggestions as I continue to grow and develop Chase the Star!, craigslist desk, fall mantel, red sox dresser, mod podge wreath, fall blocks, drop cloth curtains, mason jar soap dispenser, fabric lined mason jars chevron file cabinet, 100 christmas crafts and desserts

….and my personal favorite post:

Preschool Desk and Chair Re-do

This one was my personal favorite this year because I taught my son his ABC’s and 123′s as he sat at this school desk, and it just holds so many special memories!  *{see it featured at Apartment Therapy!}

That’s a lot of sanding, painting, mod-podging, drilling, and hot gluing, if you ask me!  What a FANTASTIC year I’ve had sharing it all with YOU!

I’d like to thank each and every one of you who has supported this crazy endeavor of mine over the last 9 months.  I’m having a BLAST!

I want to continue to evolve Chase the Star, so anticipate lots of great stuff to come in 2013.  Also, be on the lookout for a major announcement from my friends at the Creative Headquarters (CHQ), coming soon!

I wish you a very happy and healthy 2013!, best of 2012
